Dorothy Schlosser - Obituary

orothy “Dot” M. Schlosser, 82, a 6 year resident of Edgewater, MD and previously of Bladensburg, MD died on December 23, 2008 of natural causes at her home. Born March 4, 1926 in Yakima, Washington, she was raised in Iowa, then moved to the Washington, D.C. area in the mid-1940's. She was a homemaker most of her life. Mrs. Schlosser loved being with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Howard “Buddy” Schlosser; mother of Michele DiCarlo-Byers of Edgewater, MD, Terri Griffis Sego of Bowie, MD and late Bobby W. Schlosser, who died in 1974; grandmother of Tina DiCarlo of Edgewater, MD, Kathy Phelps of Grasonville, MD, Sharon Rogers of Edgewater, MD and Robert Sego of Bowie, MD; also survived by 6 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to Dorothy's Life Celebration on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11am. Interment Ft. Lincoln Cemetery.
