Dorothy I. White - Obituary

orothy "Dottie" Isabelle White, 96, of Annapolis, MD and previously of Hyattsville, MD died on Friday, February 9, 2018. Dorothy was born on June 27, 1921, in Washington, DC, to the late Roy and Hester Johnson. She worked at the Civil Service Commission as a secretary. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Julius White in 2005 and a brother, Gordon Johnson. She is survived by her two sons, Dennis James White of Bowie, and Wayne Jeffery White of Hyattsville; two grandchildren, Christopher White of Marietta, GA and Lorrie Carns of Baltimore; and a great-grandson, Alexander Carns. Friends are invited to celebrate Dottie's life on Friday, February 16, 2018, from 10 AM until her funeral service begins at 11 AM at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Interment will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD.
