Douglas Lee Hallock - Obituary

ouglas Lee Hallock, “Doug”, age 84, a lifelong resident of Shady Side, MD died after a 2 month battle with cancer on Thursday, April 20 at the Anne Arundel Medical Center. Born on April 19, 1939 in Annapolis, MD to the late Lee and Catherine Hallock, Doug was a waterman most of his life. He was a life member and past Chief of the Avalon Shores Fire Department and enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and being with his family. Doug is survived by his wife of 59 years, Genie Hallock; his son, Russell (Hope) Hallock of Centreville, MD; his sister, Lois Reed of Shady Side, MD and his granddaughters, Catherine (Matthew Mathias) Hallock and Anna Hallock. Friends are invited to celebrate Doug’s life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Saturday, May 6 from 1 to 4 pm.
