at Creed was born in Eunice, WV July 16, 1939. June was born in Elkton, MD June 1, 1941. Pat and June met in Elkton, MD while attending Elkton High School. They accepted Christ as their Savior at First Baptist Church in Elkton in 1960. He graduated from Elkton High School in 1958 and later attended Tennessee Temple University where June also took some classes. Later, he was awarded two honorary doctorates. He was called to preach in March of 1971 while attending Pastors’ School at First Baptist Church in Hammond, IN. He served as assistant pastor to Dr. Tom Wallace at Baptist Bible Church at Elkton, MD from June 1970 to June 1971. Then he served as assistant pastor to Dr. John Bonds at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Fairfax, VA from June 1971 to June 1972. He was then called to pastor the Independent Baptist Church of Clinton, MD where he served from June 1972 to May 1994. At that time, he accepted the position of Caribbean Director with Baptist International Missions, Inc. (BIMI) and served in that position from June 1994 to June 2012. Later, he served with BIMI as Caribbean International Representative. In that position he represented BIMI in churches around the States encouraging the participation of supporting missionaries through Faith Promise giving and challenging individuals to surrender their lives to the mission field. He continued with BIMI until his home-going on Friday evening, January 30, 2026. He is survived by his loving wife, June, two sons (& their spouses) and two daughters (& their spouses): Pat, Jr. (Pam) Creed, Michael (Valerie) Creed, Kim (Reggie) Rempel, Beth (Brett) Bellamy; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to Dr. Creed's Life Celebration on Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 10 A.M until the start of the service at 12 P.M. at Independent Baptist Church, 9255 Piscataway Road, Clinton MD 20735. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Dr. Creed's name to Independent Baptist Church Missions.
