E

arl Wallace Sullivan, 78, a resident of Harwood for 40 years, died of natural causes Nov. 19 at Southern Maryland Hospital Center. Born July 3, 1929, in Annapolis, Mr. Sullivan served in the Air Force from 1947 to 1950. Mr. Sullivan was the owner and operator of B&E Septic Service of Harwood. He was a member of the American Legion in Annapolis, the Shriners and the Annapolis Elks. His interests included travel. In 1966 he married Wanda J. Sullivan, who died in February 2002. Surviving are two sons, Steve Sullivan of Baltimore and Mark Sullivan of Bowie; two daughters, Sheryl Smith of Harwood and Dora Sullivan of Bowie; one brother, Herbert Sullivan of Ridgely in Caroline County; one sister, Frances Smith of Arnold; one grandson; and one great-grandson. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the chapel. Burial will follow in Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville.
