Ed Ward - Obituary

dward “Big Ed” Rolend Ward, 64, a resident of Edgewater, MD, died on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Born on August 21, 1957 in Annapolis, Big Ed was a roofer with Exterior Concepts Roofing Co. for many years. He enjoyed horse racing, the outdoors, his animals (Callie and Culver), exploring new places, State Fairs, taking long drives, eating out, trying new things and being with his family. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald "Big D" Estep. Big Ed is survived by Debbie Stockett; his daughters, LeAnna “Puddin” Shelby Ward, Sarah Teresa Lynn Ward and Maria “Mimi” Angelina Ward, all of Edgewater, MD; stepsons, Jake Stockett of Harwood, MD and James Stockett of Lakewood, CO; sisters-in-law, June (Rick) Fejeran of Accident, MD and Teresa (Allen) Newsome of Annapolis, MD; granddaughter, Lainey Jewel Stockett of Davidsonville, MD; life-long friends Wayne, Dale, Randy, Chris and Brandy; Nanny who loved him like a son; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to celebrate Big Ed's life on Sunday, September 26 from 5 to 8 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 27 at 12 noon, also at Kalas, followed by internment at Lakemont Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Davidsonville, MD.
