Edith Matousek - Obituary

dith Annette Matousek went home to be with her Lord on August 15,2007. Mrs. Matousek was born November 15, 1916 in Schenectady, N.Y. She worked as a secretary for Maryland Glass in Baltimore from 1951 until her retirement in 1978. A active member of Davidsonville United Methodist Church, she participated in Bible study and all church activities. She was a pillar of faith for her family and friends. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting and reading. She was the widow of Rudy Matousek, who died Sept. 25, 1995. Surviving are one son, Lee Rudolph Matousek of Edgewater; one daughter, Linda Schnieder of Highbridge, N.J.; one sister, Dorothy Zatrepalek of Schenectady; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday August 18, 2007 at Davidsonville United Methodist Church, 819 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, where a funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens, 5598 Trumps Mill Road , Baltimore, immediately following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Davidsonville United Methodist Church, 819 W. Central Ave. Davidsonville, MD 21035
