dmond Thomas Pendleton, Jr. Edmond Thomas “Tom” Pendleton, Jr., a 10-year resident of Annapolis and previously of Crofton and Takoma Park, MD, died suddenly Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at La Casa Assisted Living in Annapolis. He was born November 11, 1927 in York, PA to the late Edmond T. and Miriam Pendleton, Sr. Tom served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania (formerly State College) and enjoyed golfing and volunteering with hospice. Tom was predeceased by his former spouse, Alice Tipton Pendleton in 1990. He is survived by his wife, Ann Paul Pendleton of Annapolis; five sons, Edmond Thomas (Pam) Pendleton, III of Holliston, MA, Gary Robert (Karyn Molines) Pendleton of North Beach, MD, Mark Kevin (Eileen O’Connell) Pendleton of Catonsville, MD, William Brian (Sherry) Pendleton of Yale, OK and John Patrick (Lee) Pendleton of Catonsville, MD. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and step-family. Friends are invited to Tom’s Life Celebration on Thursday, May 26, 2011, from 11:00am until his funeral services begin at 12:00 noon at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
