dmund “Ed” Michael Jaskiewicz, 98, an 8-year resident of Annapolis and previously of Upper Marlboro, MD, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022. Ed was born in Norwich, CT on July 5, 1923 to the late Michael and Eleanor Jaskiewicz. He graduated from Norwich Free Academy and the University of Connecticut before earning a law degree from George Washington University. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, working on the Manhattan Project in Los Alamos, NM. Afterward, Ed enjoyed a 50-year career as a patent attorney. His interests included; going to the beach, attending the ballet at the Kennedy Center, fine wines and fine dining. An avid traveler, Ed lived for 2 years in Frankfurt, Germany, touring throughout Europe extensively with his wife, Rosemary. Ed was the beloved husband for 61 years to the late Rosemary "Rosie" Norair Jaskiewicz ; father of Edmund N. Jaskiewicz(Melanie) of Little Rock, AR, Diane J. Generous(Kevin)of Baltic, CT, Richard H. Jaskiewicz of Washington, DC, and Eric M. Jaskiewicz of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services are currently being scheduled.
