dward Charles Davis, 51, of Annapolis for over 8 years and previously of Bowie, died Friday, January 4 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. Ed was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy 10 years ago and his condition steadily deteriorated. In July 2012, he suffered a heart attack and has been hospitalized ever since. The family takes solace in knowing that Ed is now at peace. Born January 1, 1962 in Omaha, NE to Michael and Patricia Davis, Ed received his BA from Frostburg University and then worked at the CIA for 23 years. Ed was an Eagle Scout, an avid fisherman, enjoyed studying military history and building military aircraft and tank models. More than anything, he cherished being a father to his two daughters, Anjelica, 15 and Marisa, 9.
Ed leaves behind his beloved wife of 25 years, Lynne; his 2 daughters; his parents; Sister and Brother-in-Law Cynthia and Jim Glakas, niece Diana and nephew Mick of Herndon VA; Sister and Brother-in-Law Therese & Greg Lally and niece Hannah and nephew Ryan of Spokane WA; Brother- and Sister-in-Law Bob and Barbara Blevins and nephew Greg of Chicago IL; Brother-in-Law Bill Blevins of Akron, OH; and Brother- and Sister-in-Law Jim Blevins and Olena Ishchuk and niece Diana of Malmo, Sweden.
His family will receive visitors at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, on Thursday, January 10 from 4-7PM. A Memorial service is being planned for a later date. Please keep checking this site for updated service information.
