Edward McConnell - Obituary

dward John "Ed" McConnell, III, a 44-year resident of Annapolis, Md and previously of Cedar Lake and Denville, Nj, died on Thursday, September 11 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Born January 3, 1932 in Newark, Nj, Ed was employed as the Director of Operations at the University of Baltimore. He enjoyed wood carving and working with marble. Ed was the beloved husband of Joan E. McConnell; devoted father of Kevin McConnell and his wife, Deborah of Lake Hopatcong, Nj, Christopher McConnell of Annapolis, Md, Laureen Toney and her husband, Gary of Annapolis, Md and the late Edward McConnell, IV; brother of Raymond McConnell, Barbara Koelble and the late Robert and Roy McConnell; grandfather of Heather, Eric, Ashley, Andre, Brandon and Mark. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren. Services and interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy., Pasadena, Md 21122.
