dward Paul Peckman, “Ed”, 86, a 55-year resident of Davidsonville, MD and previously of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026, in Annapolis, MD surrounded by his family. Ed was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Henry and Helen Peckman. After graduating from high school, Ed served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked for METRO as a High Voltage Electrician. Ed was a devout catholic and was a parishioner at Holy Family and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Churches, he was also a member of the VFW. Ed served with the Anne Arundel County Police Reserve Unit for over 21 years, retiring as a District Commander for Southern District. He was a fanatic about everything about trains. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a wonderful man and was totally committed to God and his country. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his siblings, Henry and Lou. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Carolyn Peckman, his children Edward Peckman, Jr., Paula Peckman and Melissa Michel and his brother, Harry Peckman. He is also survived by his 15 beloved grandchildren, Amber, Geena, Anthony, Brayden, Jillian, Sophia, Jayce, Camden, Meredith, Andersyn, Madison, Amora, Caelym, Oaklynne and Kameryn and 7 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to celebrate Ed’s life on Friday, August 21 from 12pm until a funeral service begins at 2pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 1 pm at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032.
