Edwin Eads - Obituary

dwin Comer Eads, 85, died Saturday morning, February 23, 2013. Edwin, a resident of Wake Forest, NC, and formerly of Ft. Washington, MD, was former President of the Oxon Hill Lions Club. He was an avid golfer and former member of the Heritage Golf Club and Legends. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Thorne Eads; daughters, Deborah Reishman and husband, Michael, of Wake Forest, NC and Susan Carskadon of Memphis, TN; son, Christopher Eads of Orlando, FL; brother, Howard Eads of Charleston, IL; grandchildren, Kristina Klindienst, Holly Sims, Carrie Kelley and Ryan Venable; 6 great-grandchildren. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 514 Daniels Street, #109, Raleigh, NC 27605. Friends may call on Wednesday, February 27 from 2pm until a funeral service begins at 3pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 10:30 am at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, MD. Please sign the guest book.
