dwin Trent Perry of Fort Washington, 83, died unexpectedly Nov. 26 at home. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rosemarie L. Perry. He is also survived by a son, Edwin Marcus Perry, husband of Renée Perry, of Hoboken, New Jersey; a daughter, Michelle L. Perry, wife of Thomas Knapp, of York, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Seneca, Lyla and Sabine Perry of Hoboken and J. Wolfgang and Annabelle L. Taylor of York; and a sister, Julie Stone of Fayetteville, Pennsylvania, and her family. Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Kenneth L. Perry and Beatrice Shepherd Perry. A graduate of Oxon Hill High School, he attended Davis and Elkins College and served 4 1/2 years in the U.S. Navy as a professional musician. He was a career carpenter in the D.C. area, at many locations that included years at the National Gallery of Art, the memories of which he loved to share. Trent attended Grace Brethren Church of Calvert County. He took joy in watching his grandchildren grow, auto racing, reading, arts, cultural entertainment, and good food. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Kalas Funeral Home in Oxon Hill, MD on 12/13/23 FROM 2-3 PM, with a memorial service to begin at 3:00PM. Internment services will be held privately at a later date at the Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery.
