Elaine L. King - Obituary

laine Lenora King “Nan Nan”, 95, a seventy-five-year resident of Edgewater, MD, died on March 14, 2022, after a brief illness at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, MD. Born on May 19, 1926, in Annapolis, MD to the late Leonard Calvert and Pauline Marie Phipps, Elaine graduated from Annapolis High School in 1944. She retired from Farmer’s National Bank and was a member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church. Elaine enjoyed playing dominoes, gardening, canasta, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Curtis King, Jr. Elaine is survived by her children, Pauline Small of Edgewater, MD, William King, III of Milford, PA, and David King of Beaufort, SC; her grandchildren, Ryan, Jared and Paul King, Russell Roth, and Ashley Poole and her 3 great-grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Elaine's life will be held on Saturday, March 26 at 11 am at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037. A celebration of her life will follow at her home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Purple Heart Foundation, P.O.
