Eleanor Gertrude Davies - Obituary

leanor “Ellie” Gertrude Snyder Davies, 95, a fifty-three-year resident of Montgomery County Maryland and previously of Cranbury, NJ died of natural causes on Sunday, October 18 in Crofton, MD. Born on March 6, 1931, in Clifford, PA to the late Russell and Gertrude Snyder, Ellie was a graduate of Endicott High School. She worked as a marketing executive with IBM and enjoyed china painting, knitting and bridge in her spare time. In addition to her parents, Ellie was preceded in death by her husband, David Bryn Davies. She is survived by her children, Scott Davies of Grasonville, MD, Mark Davies of Crofton, MD and Karyn Davies Mitchell of Silver Spring, MD; her grandchildren, Bryn, Scott Andrew and Emily Davies and Stella and Isabelle Mitchell and her great grandson, Briggs Allen Kelley. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cedar Grove Methodist Church, 5965 Deale Churchton Rd., Deale, MD 20751.
