Eli A. Busada, Jr. - Obituary

li A. Busada, Jr., 85, a 46-year resident of Davidsonville, MD, and previously of Temple Hills, MD passed away on December 22, 2024. Born on November 7, 1939, in Washington, DC to the late Eli and Nellie Busada, he graduated from Anacostia High School in 1958. Eli established his building business, Busada Building Corporation, at age 20. He developed a reputation as an expert builder and developer of both commercial and residential properties. He previously served in the Air Force Reserves and was a member of the Anacostia Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, skiing, traveling, making fruit cakes, and, most of all, spending time with his family. He was a great friend and mentor to many and will be remembered for his fantastic sense of humor. Eli is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Patricia Miller Busada; his son, Michael Eli (Cynthia) Busada of Lothian, MD; his daughter, Deborah Busada (Richard) Dawson of Annapolis, MD; his grandchildren, Zachary Eli, John, and Allison; his sister, Elizabeth Marinaro of Myrtle Beach, SC, and brother-in-law Frank Miller of Germantown, MD, as well as multiple nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Norman Busada (2022). Friends and family are invited to celebrate Eli’s life on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD, from 12 pm until his memorial service begins at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
