lisabeth Lakos (affectionately known as "Grandmommy") is now dancing in Heaven with her beloved "Bela" who has been waiting for his "Maus." She was born in Eisenstadt, Austria on September 22, 1923. A homemaker, seamstress, baker, gardener, loving wife and the best "Mommy" and "Grandmommy" a family could have, Elisabeth was loved by everyone whose life she touched. She grew up in Austria during turbulent times and was proud to have served as a Red Cross nurse. Elisabeth married Valentine in 1946, and they had their daughter "Cookie" in 1947. They came to America in 1952 and had their daughter "Simi" in 1954. They lived in Washington, D.C. until moving to Wheaton, Maryland where they lived until moving to Heritage Harbour in Annapolis in 2005. Elisabeth was a member of St. Catherine Labouré Catholic Church, and more recently Calvary Community Church of Riva. She is preceded in death by her husband, Valentine "Bela" Lakos. She leaves behind two daughters, Margaret "Cookie" Waldron (John) of Manassas, VA and Ann "Simi" Collins (Ty) of Riva, MD. Elisabeth also leaves behind four grandchildren, John Waldron, Colleen Johnson, (Adam), Drew Watts, (Kati) and Justin Watts, (Mandy); and five great-grandchildren, Marcus Johnson, James Watts, Luke Watts, Ryan Watts and Evan Watts. A visitation will be held at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Friday, November 24 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A celebration of life will be held at Calvary Community Church, 3272 Riva Rd, Riva, MD on Saturday, November 25 at 2 pm. Interment private.
