Elizabeth J. "Betty" Wolcott - Obituary

lizabeth Jean “Betty” Wolcott (nee Vernosky), age 87, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023 in Annapolis, MD. Born on Christmas Day 1935 in Lyon Mountain, NY to the late Joseph and Bertha Brien Vernosky, Betty graduated from high school and attended cosmetology school in Albany, NY. She began her career as a cosmetologist in Plattsburgh, NY before moving, with her family, to Bowie, MD. She was active in St. Pius X Catholic Church where her daughters attended school. Betty is survived by her husband of 61 years, George Wolcott; her daughters, Julie and Debbie, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 4 nieces. Mass of the Resurrection will be offered on Saturday, February 18 at 11 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD.
