lizabeth Bonita Zeller “Bonnie”, 64, a 31-year resident of Davidsonville, died Sunday, September 26, after a 16-month battle with liver cancer.
Bonnie was born August 30, 1946 in Brooklyn Park and was the daughter of the late Moses and Elizabeth Reeves. She married Gerard Zeller in 1964. She received a B.S. degree from the University of Maryland in 1994. She worked for the Anne Arundel County government for 17 years in various positions including the Budget Office and the Department of Aging from which she retired in 2006. Bonnie enjoyed writing, reading, traveling, genealogy research and, most of all, spending time with her family.
Bonnie was predeceased by her sister, Sally Reeves of College Park, Ga. and her brother, David Reeves, Sr. of Glen Burnie.
In addition to her husband, Jerry, Bonnie is survived by two daughters, Kimberlee and her husband, Brent Shaw of Annapolis, Karen and her husband, Robert Crosby of Bowie, and Mark Zeller of Baltimore; one sister, Elaine Lombardi of Easton; and one brother, Stephen Reeves of Glen Burnie. Also survived by five grandchildren, Rebecca and Connor Shaw, Abigail and Benjamin Crosby, and Luke Zeller.
Friends are invited to Bonnie’s Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037 on Tuesday, September 28, from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, September 29, at 12 noon at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD 21035. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
