lmer Charles Kellenbenz
Elmer Charles Kellenbenz, a 30 year resident of Manning, South Carolina and previously of Annapolis, MD, died on December 1, 2009 at his son's residence in Bishopville, SC. Elmer was 87.
Born May 20, 1922 in Baltimore, MD, to the late Elmer and Lucinda Kellenbenz, he was a graduate of Annapolis High School and served his country during WWII in the United States Army. He was employed by Economy Plumbing and Heating Supply.
Elmer was a member of Santee Baptist Church in Manning, S.C. and enjoyed fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife Nina Kellenbenz of Summerton, S.C., whom he married April 25, 1947, his sons Dennis and his wife Linda Kellenbenz of Bishopville, SC and Donald Glenn and his wife Jane Kellenbenz of Annapolis, MD and one sister, Gloria Donaldson of Harwood, MD. He was predeceased by his siblings Melvin Kellenbenz and Bertha Crutchley. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 1 great grand-daughter.
Friends are invited to Elmer's Life Celebration on Sunday from 6-8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD where funeral services will be held on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 1pm. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery.
