lmer "El" Carl Landmann, 76, of Edgewater passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 due to complications from Parkinson's Disease. El was born on February 20, 1941 in St. Louis, MO to the late Elmer Julian and Melba Landmann. After High School El joined the U.S. Army and worked as diesel mechanic. He was the owner of Landmann Repair and Maintenance Inc. He enjoyed trains, and history, especially war history. El was a gun enthusiast, avid Nascar fan and a true motor head.
In addition to his parents Elmer was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Mary Margaret. He is survived by his two children, Roger(Jennie) Landmann of Crofton, Katy(Wayne) Avery of Edgewater; sister, Grace Canava of St Louis, MO; five grandchildren, Gunther Roger Landmann, Carl Wayne Avery, Victor(Melanie) Landmann, Rachel Marie Avery, Heidi (Alex Strnad)Landmann; two great grandchildren, Caliana Mae Avery and Kamden Luke Avery.
Friends are invited to celebrate Elmer's life with his family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday December 11 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD, where his funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12.
