lton William Miller passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at his home in Scottsdale, AZ. Born on November 16, 1929 in Erie, PA, Elton worked for the Washington Terminal Co. and Amtrak for 45 years. He started out cleaning cars at the age of 19 and rose through the ranks to finish his career as Superintendent of Private Cars. Elton lived a good life, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 63 years, Bobbie and his son, Michael. He is survived by his children, Cheryl (Tom) Nelson, Debra Waln, Bill (Mary Ann) and Terry Miller and five grandchildren, Heather, David, Christina, Ashley and Matthew. Friends are invited to celebrate Elton's life on Friday, February 5 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD where his funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 6 at 10 am. Interment will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations, in memory of Elton W. Miller, to Hospice of the Valley, 1501 E.
