Elva Marie Pees - Obituary

ied on Sunday, March 23, 2014, the beloved Aunt of Nancy Pees Coleman, Susan Pees, Lynn Felton, Lesia Thomas and Warren Thomas, and cousins, Mary Lou Riley and Linda Sue Morris. She is also survived by many close friends from both the U.S. Census Bureau and her First Baptist Church of Upper Marlboro family. She worked for the U.S. Census Bureau for over 40 years and was a member of the Elm Creek Homemakers for 25 years. She was a graduate of Miami Oklahoma High School, Northeast Oklahoma A&M College and Oklahoma State University. She was very active in her church. Friends are invited to Marie’s Life Celebration on Thursday, March 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Upper Marlboro, 7415 Southwest Crain Highway (U.S. Route 301). There will be a memorial gathering held at a later date in Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the First Baptist Church of Upper Marlboro or to the American Cancer Society.
