miliana Olaes Sampilo was born on January 5, 1916 in Kawit, Cavite, Philippines. She married Felizardo Sampilo, Sr. in 1933. She was a housewife who raised 8 children. Emiliana immigrated to the United States in 1972 where she lived with her 6 kids in Lexington, MD. She then moved to Fort Washington, MD in 1973 where she spent the remainder of her life. She liked to cook, travel, take walks, eat at all-you-can-eat buffets, and watch television. Her favorite television programs were Price is Right, All My Children, WWF wrestling, and boxing. She is survived by her brother Renato Olaes, 6 children, Cecilio, Felicidad, Alberto, Jose, Laila, and Felizardo Jr., 14 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to Emiliana's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD on Saturday, April 17 and Sunday, April 18 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian will be offered on Monday, April 19, 2010 at 10am at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 2315 Brinkley Road, Ft. Washington, MD. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
