mily C. Vecellio, 89, a resident of Annapolis for 25 years and formerly of Forestville, died of a heart ailment Feb. 5 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Mrs. Vecellio was born April 15, 1918, in Trenton, N.J.
She served in the Navy during World War II as a WAVE from 1943 to 1945 in California.
A Navy wife, she lived in Guam, Norfolk, Va., Hawaii and Puerto Rico, and had a child in almost every port in which her husband was stationed.
She was a former longtime member of Mount Calvary Catholic Church in Forestville.
She enjoyed canasta and bingo and adored her cats.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark L. Vecellio; one son, Mark L. Vecellio Jr.; and one daughter, Madonna Jean Stoll.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Malitz of Davidsonville and Ellen L. Jankowski of State College, Pa.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may join in the celebration of her life from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave. in Davidsonville. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum in Clinton.
