ric Gene Daniel Freeze, age 42, beloved son of Laurie Rafferty and the late Rene’ “Frosty” Freeze, of Riverside, California received his angel wings on February 9, 2021.
Though his heart was greater than the universe and his knowledge vast (a head full of useless knowledge), Eric had very few passions in life. Eric was an avid and eclectic movie buff, able to quote films at a moment's notice. Eric found himself more at peace when out in nature. He enjoyed hiking, gardening, hydroponic science, or just getting lost on extended open-ended road trips. He loved Geocaching, and has many caches still active around Southern California. Eric was a self-taught master woodworker creating many unique, one-of-a-kind designs.
Eric found his true passion and the love of his life, Victoria (Tory) Cameron. Tory brought so much joy into Eric’s life and turned his world around. Eric and Tory were to be married October 31, 2021.
Eric is survived by his mother and “second” dad, Laurie and Doug Rafferty; Grandmother Marilyn Hall; brothers Richard “Dick” Freeze, Brook “Carlton” Freeze, Charles “Chuck” Freeze, Joshua Goodale, Micah Rafferty, Dan (and Tina) Rafferty, and Mark (and Terri) Schuette; sisters Brandy (& Michael) Young, Brenda (and Donald) Hussen, Melissa Rafferty, Kimberly (and Desi) Hauer, Naomi (and Brian) Ford, Rosie Rafferty; maternal aunts Bonnie Fraam and Debbie Barber, paternal uncles Don (and Susan) Rafferty and Dean (and Patti) Rafferty; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Rene’ “Frosty” Freeze, Grandfather LCDR Richard W Hall, Uncle Richard W Hall II, and sister Angela Bennett.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 20 at 2PM at 1234 East Central Avenue in Edgewater, MD.
