Erminio Joseph Scavongelli - Obituary

rminio (Ernie) J. Scavongelli Passed away peacefully on Thursday May 18, 2017 as a result of congestive heart failure. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Blanche, in 2001 after more than 50 years of marriage. He is survived by his two children, Gail and Gary Scavongelli, their spouses, Ed Johnson and Jan Scavongelli, his grand children and great grand children, and his brother Richard of Lynnfield MA. Relatives and friends are invited to Erminio's Celebration of Life on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, May 23 at 10 a.m. at St. Bernardine of Siena Catholic Church, 2400 Brooks Dr., Suitland, MD. Internment Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in the name of Ernie Scavongelli may be made to the American Heart Association.
