Ernest Henderson - Obituary

rnest D. Henderson, 77, a resident of Edgewater, MD for over 35 years went to be with the lord on March 19, 2010 at Washington Hospital Center of natural causes. Born March 31, 1932 in Washington, D.C., he retired as a superintendent with Safeway Bakery after 30 years of service. Ernest attended Edgewater Methodist Church and was baptized at Spotsylvania Baptist Church in Spotsylvania, VA. He loved yard sales, cooking and working on clocks. He is survived by his lifetime partner, Barbara J. Hunt; two daughters, Cindy Christopher of Spotsylvania, VA and Regina Wathen of Mechanicsville, MD; two sisters, Betty Cason of Lothian, MD and Ruth Fowler of Forestville, MD; also survived by 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to Ernest's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 5 to 7pm, where services will be held on Monday, March 22 at 1pm. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
