Ernest William Ruppert - Obituary

rnest William Ruppert "Ernie," 91, a resident of Riva, MD for four years and previously of Mayo, MD, died of natural causes on Monday, November 27 at his home. Born On January 6, 1926, in Baltimore, MD to the late Naylor and Virgie Ruppert, Ernie worked as a salesman/ driver for the Coca-Cola Co. in Annapolis, MD for many years. He enjoyed bowling, crabbing, playing horseshoes and going to the horse races. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-four years, Betty Jane Ruppert and his brothers, William N. and Edward Ruppert. He is survived by his children, Dawn (Merl) Ruppert Green of Prince Frederick, MD, Michael (Shirley) Ruppert of McKinney, VA, Ronald (Ginger) Ruppert of Riva, MD and Stephen (Carol) Ruppert of Annapolis, MD; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Brady, Rebecca, Robert, Nathan, Patricia, Jonathan, Austin, Destiny, Thomas, Mathew, Jeremy, Corri and Dylan and eight great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to celebrate Ernie's life on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD where his funeral service will be held on Friday, December 1 at 10:30 AM.
