Esther Contreras - Obituary

sther Erestain Contreras, 63, was tragically struck by a vehicle in Rockville, MD on December 6, 2016. She fought valiantly but ultimately succumbed to the injuries on December 8, 2016. Even in her last moments her ever-giving love was able to save other lives, as she was able to donate her organs. Esther was born on August 20, 1953 in the Philippines and later moved to Maryland with her husband, Meynardo Contreras, and son, John Contreras. While in Maryland Esther and Meynardo had a daughter, Jhoann Contreras. Esther was also survived by daughter-in-law, Kristina Ramos Contreras, and granddaughters, Katherine Contreras and Julianna Contreras. Esther was a true servant of God. Her love for her faith, family, and friends will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to Esther's Celebration of Life at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD on Thursday and Friday, December 15 and 16 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, December 1 7, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Columba Catholic Church, 7800 Livingston Rd., Oxon Hill, MD. Interment St. Mary's of Piscataway Catholic Church Cemetery.
