Eugene Milton - Obituary

ugene “Gene” Andrew Milton, Sr., 67, of Henderson and previously of Edgewater, died at home April 5 after an 18-month battle with cancer. Born June 11, 1945 in Washington, DC to the late Richard L. and Frances L. Milton, Sr., Gene graduated in 1964 from Northwestern High School in Hyattsville and then served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1964 to 1966. He retired from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in 2007 after a 25-year career. Gene enjoyed working on and driving his hot rod car and was a member of the Wheels of the Past Car Club. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, road trips and collecting model trains. Gene is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Anne Milton, son Andy (Lisa) Milton of Centreville; daughter, Kathy (Kelly) Kite of Owings; and four grandchildren, Patrick and Gabrielle Milton and Michaela and Justin Kite. Friends are invited to a gathering of “Remember Whens” from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 11 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Interment private.
