va Mach-Dixon, 71, a resident of Edgewater for three years and previously of Lanham, died of heart failure on Feb. 21 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Mrs. Mach-Dixon was born on March 7, 1936, in Augsburg, Germany, and earned a degree in education from Augsburg University.
She taught in the Augsburg public school system. After moving to the States, she taught at the German School in Potomac and was an adult education teacher at Prince George Community College.
She was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church in Bowie.
She enjoyed teaching, traveling and music.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas O. Dixon Sr.; one son, Andreas Mach of Munich, Germany; one daughter, Julia Mach of Frankfurt, Germany; two brothers; and two sisters.
Friends are invited to join in the celebration of her life from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday February 25 at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday February 26, at the funeral home.Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD.
