Eva T. Regan, age 93, passed from this life to her heavenly home on May 14, 2010 of natural causes at Mandrin Chesapeake Hospice House. She was a five year resident of Ginger Cove in Annapolis, MD, formerly of Silver Spring, MD. She was born in Hungary in 1917 and came to this country through Ellis Island in 1921 at age 4 with her mother. She was predeceased by her father and mother and her husband of 56 years, Joseph H. Regan. She worked at Riggs bank for over 30 years, where she became the first female officer at the bank. Her survivors include a daughter, Maria Anne Zettler Blohm (Thomas) of Annapolis, MD and a son, Joseph H. Regan (Patricia) of Merritt Island, FL, nine grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to Eva's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Friday, June 11 from 2 to 4pm and 7to 9pm. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, June 12 at 9am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 109 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, Maryland. Interment private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, c/o Mandrin Hospice House, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
