velyn "Ebbie" Bell, a lifelong resident of Annapolis, MD, died on July 22, 2018, at Sunrise of Annapolis.
Born February 14, 1926, in Annapolis, MD, she was a 1941 graduate of Annapolis High School. Ebbie worked as a secretary at the U.S. Naval Academy as well as a devoted homemaker. She was a lifelong member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church, where she regularly attended bible study. Ebbie's two favorite things were spending time with her family and reading the Bible. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, crossword puzzles, and Snoopy and the other Peanuts characters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy "Pete" C. Bell; and her siblings, Helen, Katherine, Carrie, Buddy, Jack, and Rosalie.
Ebbie is survived by her three children, Dawn Bell Siegert of Stevensville, MD, Cheryl "Cheri" Bell Cook and her husband, Philip J. of Edgewater, MD, and Norman "Ridge" Bell and his wife, Jennifer of Stevensville, MD; a sister, Grace "Tikki" Jefferson; eight grandchildren, Amy, Joey, Kristi, Ricky, Peter, Courtney, Mandy, and Sean; and eight great-grandchildren, Brandon, Hannah, Lindsey, Brent, Lilly, Dillon, Aaliyah, and Otto.
Friends are invited to celebrate Ebbie's life at the Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Wednesday, July 25 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, Church Circle, Annapolis, MD on Thursday, July 26 at 11 am. Interment Cedar Bluff Cemetery, Annapolis, MD.
