Evelyn Erb - Obituary

velyn Todd Erb, 78, a resident of Edgewater for 15 years and previously of Bowie, died of lung cancer Dec. 17 in her home after a six month illness. She was born Jan. 12, 1929, in Baltimore to the late Pholey Edgar and Grady Mae Pasley Todd, and graduated from high school. A homemaker and loving mother, she also worked as a nurse's aide and a switchboard operator. She enjoyed crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter S. Erb, who died in 1983; one son, Walter S. Erb II; two brothers, Pholey Edward and Rudy M. Todd; and one sister, Alleen McNulty. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra L. Erb of Edgewater and Amy J. Erb of Pembroke, Va.; and one sister, Mildred Goldrick of Sykesville. A life celebration will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at George P. Kalas Life Celebration Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Maryland National Memorial Park in Laurel. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Hwy., Annapolis, MD 21401.
