velyn Vice, 79, a resident of Arnold for 30 years, died of natural causes Feb. 28 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Mrs. Vice was born Aug. 7, 1928, in Kenvir, Ky.
A homemaker all of her life, she was a member of the West Annapolis Veterans of Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening and her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Robert E. Vice; and one son, Wayne Blackwell.
Survivors include three sons, Tom Blackwell of Crisfield and Kenneth Blackwell and Robert Vice Jr. of Arnold; two daughters, Barbara Ann Kuffler of Lexington Park and Vicki Ogilvie of Harwood; one brother, Richard Whitaker of Annapolis; one sister, Irene Sheffer of Glen Burnie; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may join in the celebration of her life from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
