Everett Dove - Obituary

verett "Eddy" Dove, 91, a resident of Davidsonville, MD for 53 years, died at his home on Monday, December 30 due to congestive heart failure. Born on March 7, 1928 in Harwood, MD to the late Joseph Franklin and Leona Maxwell Dove, Everett served in the US Navy from 1946-49 where he earned several achievement medals. He was a carpenter and he owned and operated Dove Construction Co. Everett enjoyed coon hunting, playing cards, horse racing, raising tobacco and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Audrey Evelyn Dove. Everett is survived by his children, James Everett and Michelle Ann Tapp Dove both of Davidsonville, MD, Danny Roy Dove of Edgewater, MD and Dennis Franklin Dove of Versailles, IN; his siblings, Floyd Dove of Crownsville, MD, Arthur Dove of Davidsonville, MD and Geraldine Eschinger of South Carolina; his grandchildren, James Christian, Justin Aron, Danny Joseph, Dennis Sean, Luke Everett, Christina Brittany and Natalie Denise Dove and 5 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to celebrate Everett's life on Sunday, January 5 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD where his funeral service will be held on Monday, January 6 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Davidsonville, MD.
