Evora Willis - Obituary

vora H. Willis, 82, a resident of Annapolis for 15 years and previously of Salisbury, died of natural causes Feb. 5 in her home. Mrs. Willis was born Jan. 20, 1926, in Cairo, Ill. She graduated from the Memphis School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse until she retired in 1979; she last worked at Crofton Convalescent Center. Mrs. Willis attended Riva Trace Baptist Church and was very active at the South County Senior Center, where she participated in line dancing, aerobics and computer classes. She loved playing cards, especially bridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank D. Willis, who died in August 1991. Survivors include one son, Frank E. Willis of Shady Side; one brother, Ray Harding of Anderson, Ind.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Family and friends may join in the celebration of her life at 3 p.m. tomorrow at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater. Interment is private.
