annie Lee Winstead, 93, a 4-year resident of Davidsonville, MD and previously of Wilson, NC and Edgewater, MD, passed away at her home on February 25, 2020. Born on October 16, 1926 in North Carolina to the late Jesse and Mattie Bailey, Fannie was a waitress at two popular restaurants in the Annapolis area, the former LaRosa Restaurant on Main Street in Annapolis and the former Fred’s Restaurant in Parole where she worked for 20 years. Fannie was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Edgewater and enjoyed reading the Bible. In addition to her parents, Fannie was preceded in death by her husbands, Fred Bass, Bobby McGee and Norman Winstead; two brothers, Franklin and Earl Bailey and one sister, Mary Holland. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Lamb of Davidsonville, her sister, Rebecca Tyndal of Snowhill, NC; two grandchildren, Tom Boyle of Crofton, MD and Amy Boyle of Davidsonville and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Bailey Fraser. A visitation will be held at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater on Friday, February 28 from 12 p.m. until Fannie’s funeral service begins at 1 p.m. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville.
