Faye Jessie Adams - Obituary

F

aye Jessie Robb-Adams, age 66, of Annapolis, MD, was called home by the lord while her husband, daughter, and son were by her side on May 14, 2024, at George Washington Hospital in Washington, DC, after having a massive stroke. Born on September 11, 1957, to the late Willard “Huggie” Elmore Robb and Verna “Moochie” Iris Robb of Shady Side, MD, Faye was raised in Southern Anne Arundel County. Throughout her childhood, along with her brothers and sister, Faye enjoyed crabbing, fishing, and clamming. She loved playing softball, swimming, and majorettes. She could be found hanging out with her friends and having a good ol’ laugh. Faye graduated from Southern High School in 1976. She was a waitress at the well-known Happy Harbor Restaurant in Deale, MD, where she met her husband Chuck. She worked as a cashier for Giant Food at the Bowie, MD, and Edgewater, MD, locations. Faye obtained her Associate in Business and Insurance Producers License from Prince George’s Community College. She worked as an agent for Leighton Insurance Agency in Edgewater, MD, in the late 70s into the 80’s. In 1987, Faye opened her own insurance agency, Service First Insurance Agency, Inc., in Annapolis, MD. In 1995, she returned to Leighton Insurance Agency and purchased the business where Service First Insurance Agency, Inc. remains today at 160 Mayo Road in Edgewater, MD. The business will continue on with her family to honor her legacy and love for insurance. From a young age, she developed a love for horse racing. Faye loved football, baseball, NASCAR, and most of all, any card games of chance. She enjoyed lounging at the pool or on the beach, watching the waves, and bowling with friends in bowling leagues throughout her years. She loved a good Bacardi and Diet, which sometimes led to her love of singing karaoke (aka “Delta Dawn”). She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Shady Side, MD Chapter and a proud member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Maryland – “BIG I.” Above all, her most honorable achievement and joy was being a Mom to her children and Grandma (“FeeFee”) to her grandbabies. She obtained lots of heartache throughout her short life, being preceded in death by her brothers, Louis “Louie” Donald Robb and Robert “Bobby” Charles Mayhew; mother, “Moochie”; father, “Huggie”; beloved niece, Theresa Mae Robb, and sister, Robin “Pita” Elizabeth Robb Brent. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, her husband of 43 years, Charles “Chuck” Adams; daughter, Deana Nicole Adams; son, Charles “CJ” Adams; the apples of her eye; her three grand-girls, Vayda Mae, Luna Nicole, and Iris Theresa; her loved Beagle, Sammi; brothers, John “Jerry Robb (Gina) and Lawrence “Larry” Robb (Kim); sister, Linda White (Buddy); brother-in-law, Thomas “Tom” Adams (Gina); sisters-in-law, Charlene Ledford (Doug) and Donna Pierson (Ben); multiple nieces, nephews, family, and friends whom she held close to her heart. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Faye’s life on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 12 p.m. until a memorial service begins at 1 p.m. at Riva Trace Baptist Church, 475 W Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD 21035.
