Felicidad Arquero Abdon - Obituary

elicidad Arquero Abdon passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of March 22nd, 2023 at Medstar Southern Maryland Hospital. She was 97 years old at her passing. She was predeceased by her husband, Poincaire Dumlao Abdon and survived by her 5 children, Rowena, Frelynda, Ernie, Fredelcare, Angelyn, and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Felicidad was born on May 9, 1925 in San. Narciso, Zambales, Philippines. She moved to San Marcelino to enroll herself in dressmaking and there found the love of her life, Poincaire. Felicidad was not only a seamstress, but a savvy business woman who diligently converted her wedding money into a thriving rice plantation that, even now, continues to feed the community in Zambales. In 1984, she came to the US to live out the rest of her life with her family. When not enjoying her family, she spent her time cooking, seamstressing, gardening, and babysitting the neighborhood children. Relatives and friends are invited to Felicidad's's Life Celebration on Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the KALAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD 20745. Mass of Christian Burial offered on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 2401 Brinkley Rd., Ft. Washington, MD. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
