Felix George Krankowski, 90, passed away on August 9, 2022 in Annapolis, MD. Felix (Phil, as he was known to everyone), was born on March 2, 1932 in New Jersey.

Phil started his career in the Navy in 1950, serving as a U.S. Navy Airman 1st Class from 1950-1954, and then as an Aircraft Mechanic in Norfolk, Virginia. He served in the Korean War in the Fleet Aircraft Service Squadron (FASRON 3), repairing damaged aircraft from aircraft carriers for the Korean War effort before they were sent back into battle. He also served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves as a Master Sergeant at the 459 Cam Squadron, working as an Aircraft Inspector during the Vietnam War and during Desert Storm/Desert Shield. He then worked as a civilian in Contract Oversight in the Defense Logistics Agency and Naval Air Systems Command as a Program Manager, overseeing contracts and the manufacturing of fighter jets for over 43 years until he retired.

For his outstanding service to the nation, Phil was awarded a Campaign Medal for War, a Good Conduct Medal, a National Defense Medal, a Longevity Medal, and an Air Force Accommodation Medal.
	
He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, June Claire (née Schultz) Krankowski; five of his six children, Stephen Douglas Krankowski, David Wayne Krankowski, Glen Alan Krankowski (Helen Livanios), Janis Claire (née Krankowski) Williford (Jerry Williford), and Donald Blair Krankowski; his seven grandchildren, Eric Krankowski, Jake Krankowski, Ryan Krankowski, Austin Krankowski, John Livanios, Jessica (née Williford) Auman (Clint Auman)  and Lauren (née Williford) Kron (Ryan Kron); three great-grandchildren, Colton Auman, and George and Mina Kron; and his two sisters, Marylin Stahl (Richard Stahl) of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and Diane Romanelli of Whiting, New Jersey, and their families.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Phyllis Ann Krankowski, and two of his grandchildren, David Krankowski and Daniel Krankowski. 

He was a faithful member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church of Annapolis, MD, and previously a member of St. John Catholic Church of Clinton, MD.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401.  Inurnment will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD 21035.
