Felix Rosario - Obituary

elix Angel Rosario Nazario, of Edgewater Maryland, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013. He was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, on March 25, 1931 to the late Felix Rosario, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico and Saturnina Nazario Zavala de Rosario, Caguas, Puerto Rico. He attended school in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He was married to Dorothy Helen Grybko in Gibraltar Spain and had two children; and later married Fusae from Japan. Felix had a life time career serving as a Federal Government employee working in various positions around the world, to include Spain, Panama, Japan, Okinawa, Hawaii, Thailand, and Washington DC at the Pentagon. His last position was Director of the Hispanic EEO Program for the U.S. Army. He had a love of the theatre and opera his entire life. He attended concerts, vocal competitions and other events. He was a member on the Board of Directors at the Annapolis Opera Company where he served for 12 years. Felix also loved to sail. Felix is survived by his daughter Monica Julia Rosario Pileggi and her husband Anthony Pileggi of Frederick Maryland; his son Felix Charles Rosario of Crofton Maryland; and several nieces and nephews; and survived by his former spouses. Friends and family are invited to Felix’s Life Celebration on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 11am until the funeral service at 12 noon. Services will be held at George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, Annapolis, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Felix’s memory to one of the following: Annapolis Opera Company, Maryland Hall for the Performing Arts, Chesapeake Bay Foundation or American Heart Association.
