Florence Balentine - Obituary

lorence Turner Balentine, a 13-year resident of Edgewater and previously of Milton, DE, died on July 17, 2014. She was 86. Born March 9, 1928 in Conifer, PA to the late Sydney and Linnea J. Turner, she worked as an administrative assistant for the town of Milton, DE. As well as being an accomplished artist, she enjoyed gardening and flower arranging. Florence was a member of St. Andrews Methodist Church in Edgewater. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Turner. Florence is survived by a son, Jeffrey Balentine and his wife, Susan of Annapolis; a daughter, Linda Howard and her husband, Clifford of West Chester, PA; three grandchildren, Clifford Howard and his wife, Corrin, Brett Howard and his wife, Deann and Reed Balentine; and one great-grandchild, Emily Linnea Howard. Friends may call on Monday, July 21 from 10am until a funeral service begins at 11am at the St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 4 Wallace Manor Lane, Edgewater. Interment Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton, DE.
