Florence Maureen Thompson - Obituary

lorence Maureen Thompson of Davidsonville passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021. Maureen was born on July 2, 1946 in Washington, DC to the late Michael and Adelaide Cahill. She was a graduate of Elizabeth Seaton High School in Bladensburg. Maureen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved to spend time at the beach, shop and cook Thanksgiving dinner. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, Maureen was preceded in death by her brother Michael F. Cahill. She is survived by her husband, Don Thompson; her sister, Patricia Kurak; her daughters, Michelle Thompson of West River, MD and Stephanie McFaden of Stevensville, MD; her grandchildren, Maria, Andrea, Alexander, Madeline and Quinn, whom she loved dearly. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Maureen's life on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 6 to 8pm at the Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, June 10 at 10:30 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD. Burial will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
