Ford Baker - Obituary

. Ford Baker, 82, of Millersville, MD and formerly of District Heights, MD, Takoma Park, MD and Forest Hill, MD, passed peacefully on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Born in Washington, DC on April 13, 1936 to the late Richard Murray and Alice Day Baker, Ford worked for Arlington Motor Company, Edmonston Ford and spent 22 years working for Hill & Sanders Ford in Wheaton, MD. He remained a lifelong car enthusiast, enjoying car shows and being the observant co-pilot at impromptu drag races. He will be forever missed. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Joan D'Ambrosio Baker; his children, Donna (Bob) Parsons of Chester, MD, Deena (Brian) Hahn of Severn, MD and Anthony Baker of Gambrills, MD. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Murray Baker and John Thomas Baker. Friends may call at the Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Tuesday, November 20 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm where his Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 21 at 9:30 am.
