rances V. Bunch, 76, an eight month resident of Harwood and previously of Cudjoe Key, FL, died Friday, June 6 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Born August 9, 1937 to the late Lena and William Lackey, Frances was a cashier for Safeway and retired after 23 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, playing board games and spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 47 years, Warren Bunch; one son, Eddie “Bones” Bunch and one daughter, Kelly Bunch.
Frances is survived by two sons, Randy Bunch of Edgewater and Jerry (Betty) Bunch of Edgewater; one daughter, Mary (Billy) Ford of Harwood; one sister, Judy Magargel of N.C.; two grandsons, Shane and Dustin Bunch of Edgewater; seven granddaughters, Amy Bunch-Jones of Edgewater, Sarah Bunch of Fruitland, Amanda Foster of Edgewater, Elizabeth Ford of Edgewater, Anna Bunch of Kent Island, Casey O’Brien of Dagsboro, DE and Jessica Ford of Harwood; two great-grandchildren, Noah LaGrosa of Kent Island and Connor Jones of Edgewater.
Friends are invited to her public visitation on Tuesday, June 10 from 6pm to 8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 11 at 10am at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are recommended to the Children's Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 658, Millwood, NY 10546.
