Frances A. Clemons - Obituary

rances Alvina Clemons of Owings, MD passed away peacefully on November 10, 2020, at the age of 87. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky on September 27, 1933, to the late Laurence and Lucinda Higdon; she was the last survivor of her 7 siblings. In addition to her parents and siblings, Frances was preceded in death by her husband Mearl Clemons; and her son, Lawrence Clemons. She is survived by four children, Gary, Carolyn (Ray), Lynn (Farrall), and Brian. Frances leaves behind nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, and one on the way. Frances was a strong woman devoted to her husband and family. She was the heart of our family and will forever be missed. It is comforting to know that she is now reunited with her loving husband of 65 years that passed away in August. The two were inseparable. If you feel comfortable, friends and family are invited to celebrate Frances' life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 2pm until her service begins at 3pm.
