rances E. Kallas, 82, a fifteen year resident of Easton died peacefully on April 25, at the University of Maryland Medical Center with family and friends by her side. Born December 27, 1931 in Washington, DC to the late Robert and Frances Shepherd, she was employed as a budget analyst for the federal government where she retired after thirty years. In her spare time Frances enjoyed going to garage sales and thrift stores. She loved finding bargains. Mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Bob and Bill Shepherd and three sisters, Nancy Gagner, Pearl Fauntleroy and Aure Daugherty. She is survived by her husband of fifteen years, Robert E. Kallas and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A public viewing will be held on Thursday, May 1 from 5 to 8PM at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 2 at 2:30PM at MD Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD.
